Girls Circle - Summer Structured support group from girls 9-18 years old. Designed to foster self-esteem, help girls maintain connection with peers and adult women in their community, counter trends towards self-doubt, and allow for genuine self-expression through verbal sharing and creative activity.
Youth Academy - Summer In partnership with the Rancho Cordova Police Department, the Rancho Cordova PAL sponsors week-long youth academy, which provides an inside look at the world of law enforcement. The program includes speakers from various law enforcement units (e.g. SWAT, detectives, Crime Scene Investigation, K-9, etc.) and the District Attorney's Office. Two 2-week sessions, from 0800-1500 hours.
RCPD Advanced PAL Youth Academy - Summer Must successfully attend and graduate from the RCPD PAL Youth Academy. One week session 0800-1500 hours.
Cadet Program In partnership with the Police Explorer Program, the Cadet Program will give youths, ages 11-14 years old, the opportunity to learn about law enforcement and interact with law enforcement officers on a regular basis. The cadets will work side by side with the Explorers and staff on a wide range of community services.
Youth Leadership In partnership with CAL PAL, Rancho Cordova PAL will identify young leaders within our community and mentor them in building their sense of community, responsibility, and leadership. Various seminars and camps throughout the year will specifically target these goals.
Cops and Kids - June Week long gang education class at Rosemont High School
Folsom State Prison Youth Diversion Program - Ongoing This program invites at-risk youths to spend a day-in-the life of an inmate, including a prison tour and the opportunity to experience prison food. Prison inmates also talk directly with the kids to reinforce the need to make good choices.

Parent Project
Use Your Head In a partnership with Mercy Hospital, this program will educate youth about the importance of wearing a bike helmet. Presentations will be given at local schools and various bike rodeos that will be held throughout the city. Free helmets and a proper fitting will be offered to youth who do not have helmets.
